Our Shed has been successful in achieving a Silver accreditation to a Government-backed initiative which “provides a warm welcome, purposeful activity, and meaningful support to the Armed Forces Community”.  This accreditation process has been developed to recognise and support UKMSA member Sheds that actively welcome and engage members of the Armed Forces Community (AFC), including serving personnel, veterans, and their families.  It is designed to celebrate good practice, encourage development, and connect Sheds with further support where needed.

We recently attended this year's UK Men's Sheds Awards at Westminster bringing together Shedders, MPs, ministers, partners, sponsors and supporters under one roof which made this year’s celebration feel especially powerful — a true showcase of the heart, humour and impact of the Men’s Sheds movement.

We had been nominated as one of the finalists in the Community Award Category and, while we didn't win, it was a real privilege to have been nominated.
